The season opener of the ITP Tires/Moose Racing AMA/ATVA National Championship will be telecast Monday, August 4, on Versus.

Dustin Wimmer needs only to finish second or better in the first moto to clinch the 2008 AMA/ATVA National Riders' Championship at Red Bud Track n' Trail in Michigan this weekend.

The RANGER RZR continues to be a force in the racing world, this time by not only winning the UTV class at the Baja 500 but by being the first side-by-side to ever finish the race.

- Round 4 of the New England ATV Motocross series was held, for a third time this season, at the Jolly Roger MX Park in Lempster, New Hampshire where Joe Haavisto took the overall win in both the Pro and Pro-am classes to increase his series points lead accordingly.

The word of the weekend was resilience around the HRT pits after a horrendous first day of the CORR Championship series this past weekend in Pomona, Ca. The team rebounded remarkably over-night to take to the track Sunday with a vengeance and take the top two spots of the podium.

With the conclusion of round eight of the AMA ATV MX Nationals, the Warnert Racing team has been consistently moving up the points ladder with John Natalie securely in the top five and Cody Miller quickly approaching the top ten.

What a feeling; my first ever Pro Podium! I haven't been on the podium since 2005 when I won the GNCC Morning overall at Powerline Park in the Stock class.

All though this season has been dubbed the "Year of Mud", dust was the culprit that clouded vision and clogged air filters this weekend, but that did not seem to bother Warnert Racing's Cliff Beasley or Michael Swift one bit as Beasley continued his sweep of the 4x4 Lites class and Swift claimed his 7th 4x4 Limited win of the season.

Coming off a historical third place finish at the Spartan GNCC, the Polaris/Rath/Dunlop team followed up the effort with another podium finish at Yadkin Valley GNCC- Round 8.
