In our quest to build an incredible
400EX with Project Big Red, we were looking to increase the
capabilities of our 400EX but not break the budget. This led
us to meet with Kip Kilburn at American Star
Racing.
American Star Racing manufactures a
complete line of ATV A-Arm kits, with a product that will fit the
recreational rider, the racer and anyone in between. All
A-Arms come with super-strong, precision-machined .188 wall,
4130 chrome moly tie rods - so strong, in fact, they offer a
lifetime structural warranty to the original
purchaser.
There are four lines
of A-Arms offered by American Star, all with grey
powder-coating finish:
Sportsman A-Arm
Kits
Available for the Banshee, Warrior, and Raptor. The
Sportsman A-Arms are constructed of .120 wall mild steel and are
much stronger than stock A-arms. These arms feature adjustable
camber, chromoly tie rods, new delron bushings, and American Star's
patented racing heim-style ball joint. Suggested
retail $429.
Sportsman Plus A-Arm
Kits
Available for the Banshee, Warrior, Raptor, 250R,
250X/300EX, 400EX, and Cannondale FX-400, the Sportsman Plus
A-Arms are similar to the Sportsman kit but come with heim-mounted,
caster adjustable top A-arms. They are constructed of .120 wall
mild steel and are much stronger than stock A-arms. These arms
feature adjustable camber, chromoly tie rods, new delron bushings,
and American Star's patented racing heim style ball
joint. Suggested retail $499. *This was the
kit we selected.
Sport Racer A-Arm
Kits
Available for the Banshee, Warrior, Raptor, 250R,
250X/300EX, 400EX. This is a non-adjustable chrome moly racing kit.
These A-arms are precision manufactured with .120 wall 4130
aircraft grade chrome moly. This kit comes with chromoly tie rods,
new delron bushings, pivot pins, and American Star's patented
racing heim style ball joint. Suggested retail $569.
Pro Racer A-Arm
Kits
Available for the Banshee, Warrior, Raptor, 250R,
250X/300EX, 400EX, FX-400, and the DS-650. This is a fully
adjustable chrome moly racing kit. These A-arms are precision
manufactured with .120 wall 4130 aircraft grade chrome moly. This
kit comes with chromoly tie rods, new delron bushings, pivot pins,
and American Star's patented racing heim-style ball
joint. Suggested retail is $649.
