The name HASPIN ACRES was made from former owners Larry Hassel and Herb Cupin. HAS was from Larry Hassel and PIN was rom Herb Cupin’s. Thus, HASPIN ACRES was born.

This large tract of land has been a place that a lot of young men and women have had the time of their lives. They are sometimes covered with mud and worn out but they say they will be back next week or sooner. Dirt bike riding has really become a part of a lot of peoples lives. If you ever did it, it becomes a habit, like eating fried chicken.

HASPIN ACRES is a 750 acre farm that is rough, wooded, hilly, beautiful and muddy when it rains. There are trails for cycles, dune buggies, and four wheel drive trucks, even riders on mountain bikes come here.

In the early part of the century this farm was a large apple orchard, one of the largest in the state. The 1929 stock market crash was one of the things that caused this beautiful orchard to fail.

The park is quite a novelty. When you come here you can ride, hike, fish in a five acre pond, camp or just sit around and watch the squirrels hide their walnuts. In October the leaves are as pretty as any place in the state, just not as big an area as some other places. We have a radius of about 250 miles we draw weekly or bi-monthly riders from.

We feature night moto-cross racing. One eighth mile drag strip and a large moto-cross track for racing during day light hours. We have hot and cold showers, toilets, food, soft drinks and air for flat tires. A few people get stuck in the woods but everybody helps each other and by the time the day is over everybody show up. Mostly people come here to just ride with their friends and have an enjoyable day.
