Bombardier's New Two-Seat Traxter Max

Once again, Bombardier has produced a new, industry-changing ATV that is sure to change the way enthusiasts trail ride - the new Traxter Max is specifically designed for two people! Most people already ride double on bigger utility ATV's even though a typical ATV is NOT designed for, nor is it safe, carrying a passenger. Since the introduction of the ATV, riders have found creative ways to carry a passenger, so it only seems logical to have an ATV built for two. Just as the personal watercraft industry evolved into two and three-person machines, it was only a matter of time before the ATV industry did the same thing. And since Bombardier is located in ATV trail-riding nirvana (Quebec), it seems natural that they would be the ones to lead the way into this untapped market. From this day forward, ATV owners will no longer have to carry passengers unsafely. The new Traxter Max provides the safety and comfort of a specifically-designed ATV for two. The Max makes it possible now for the single-quad family to enjoy trail riding without leaving someone behind. The benefits of having a two-person quad are virtually endless and if you're already thinking about legal issues, this two-seater is legal in both Canada and the U.S. (except Iowa).
Even on rough terrain such as this, the Traxter Max provides a solid feel for the rider as well as a comfortable, safe ride for the passenger.
Based on the Traxter, the Max uses the same basic frame layout but is stretched ten inches to allow the passenger to sit in front of the rear axle, providing the necessary stability. If you've ever given someone a ride on an ATV (and who hasn't?), you know that the weight of that passenger completely changes the handling aspects of the ATV to the point of instability in ride and steering. This is due to the additional weight being distributed over and behind the rear axle - exactly where you don't want that weight. Not so with the Traxter Max - the handling is nearly identical with or without a passenger due to the location of the passengers weight on the ATV. Even carrying a larger passenger than myself (200 lbs.) did not cause a noticeable difference in the handling characterisics of the Max. As a passenger, the ride is stable and reassuring and there is no sudden shift in the additional weight of the passenger that would cause the ATV rider to lose control.
Bombardier's new Traxter Max will turn the ATV world upside-down. Trail riding will never be the same again.
Planning a hunting trip with your buddy, but only one of you has a quad? Need a hand around the farm, but you only have one quad? Out on a camping trip and two of you want to go riding, but only one quad is available? These are no longer issues - the Traxter Max is the answer. The Traxter Max should be available to consumers later this year and Off-Road.com will bring you a full test ride review when the quad becomes available. Start planning your next trip with a whole new outlook - take a friend along, because ATV trail riding will never be the same again. More on the Traxter Max in upcoming issues....... The 498cc Traxter Max should be priced around $300-$500 more than the Traxter's $6,999.00 price tag. Questions, Comments? Send to Eddie Perez
