The Trail
Boss 325 has a 325 4-stroke engine and uses the Polaris Concentric
Drive System.
The 4-stroke, air-cooled engine provides the Trail
Boss 325 with power for light work and trail riding.
The engine has
a fan-assisted 3-stage oil cooler that helps it deliver consistent
power, even when towing a load or covering demanding trails. It
also has electric start.
The power is managed by the dual-sensing
automatic PVT (Polaris Variable Transmission), which responds to
both engine RPM and vehicle torque load. The transmission reacts to
changes in off-road conditions quickly and efficiently, and
delivers the proper power to the wheels at all times.
The E-Z Shift
lever lets a rider conveniently choose between forward, neutral,
and reverse.
Further enhancing the delivery of power to the rear
wheels is the Concentric Drive System. In this advanced Polaris
design, the swing arm’s pivot point is aligned with the
center of the drive sprocket. As a result, the rear suspension is
not affected by engine torque, and the Trail Boss 325 efficiently
puts more of its power to the ground in the form of outstanding
traction. This design results in a consistent chain tension at all
times, reducing chain wear and decreasing considerably the need for
chain adjustment or maintenance.
The long-travel MacPherson strut
front suspension has 6.7 inches of suspension travel. The
tight-turning Trail Boss 325 has a turning radius of 60 inches. A
gas-charged shock gives the long travel rear suspension 9
inches of travel.
As with all Polaris ATVs, the Trail Boss 325 has
single-lever, all-wheel hydraulic disc brakes and an auxiliary
hydraulic foot brake. It also has full floorboards, a rear cargo
rack, tow hitch, brake light, adjustable handlebars, a tool kit and
a 3.7 gallon fuel tank
