No Fear Enduro JacketNo More Fear of the Weather

This is it. You are finally pretty well outfitted, thinking you have everything you REALLY need to ride safely and comfortably. Then someone hands you a jacket, and you realize there is something better than your dad's cast off sweatshirt! Once we got our hands on the No Fear Colt Enduro Jacket (thanks to the wise bodies in Suzuki Marketing and Promotions), we were NOT giving it back. It was almost as exciting a find as the new Z400 we were there to ride!

The quality in the entire line of No Fear gear is beyond question; it's some of the best in the business. They can count themselves among the very small handful (two?) that have almost accidently broken out of the riding gear niche, into main-stream fashion. These days, you'll see No Fear gear in almost as many high school cafeterias as pit trailers. Why? As we said, Fit, Fashion, Quality. All the factors hard core riders look for when they are shopping for riding gear.

This shows how you want a riding jacket to work - zipping up from the bottom at the front and sides. This allows you to sit and move on your bike or quad, but allows you to stay fully covered from wind in the front and mud in the back.
The elbows of the Colt are reinforced with rubber pads to hold up again wear and use. The back has a pocket with a built-in belt to convert the entire jacket to carry as a fanny pack.

The Colt Enduro Jacket will present the rider with features that replace several other riding products, without any bulky or awkward drawbacks. Zippers that zip up from the bottom as well as down from the top, large pull tabs that work even with riding gloves on, pockets everywhere, sleeves that zip completely off, and a back pocket that lets the entire jacket zip into itself and become an easy-to-carry fanny pack. It's lightweight, which is key when riding but also cuts the wind, also key when blazing along at the lightening speeds we're known for. (Or for standing around with a camera in our hands, perhaps what we're known better for.)

Sleeves are long enough to come well over the end of riding gloves, and wide openings make the jacket easy to slip on. Velcro tabs are large and well-adjustable, and easy to grasp with your gloves on.
Splits on the side are a must for a riding jacket. The zippers on the Colt zip from top and bottom, allowing access to your front pockets even when geared up.

Here's the official lowdown:

Colt Jacket - STYLE#7020

The new Colt enduro jacket represents the perfect synthesis of performance and fast styling. Built out of durable, yet soft, nylon water resistant fabric, the jacket features a face-friendly fleece chin flap, two front cargo pockets, two chest pocket storm flaps, removable arms, bi-directional side zippers with external dust flaps, adjustable cuffs, ultra tough elbow patches, mesh lining, and draw-cord zippers for easy pocket access. All these wonderful features can be packed into a small back pouch when the weather gets too warm for your taste. Available in Black/Grey(BG) and Navy/Silver(NS).

$159.95

If you're lucky enough to ride year-round or at altitude, a riding jacket should absolutely be on your list of "must have" equipment. If you invest in quality, it will be your new best friend. The only bad news we must report is that the Colt is the 2001 edition - it doesn't appear to have been replaced with a new version in last couple seasons, so you can probably still get your hands on one.

This jacket has a new home.
