As we prepared for the Best in the Desert Las Vegas KTM "150" the latest race information arrived in the mail. "Hand protection highly recommended". We had always been planning to install some handguards on Project Raptor, we just had not gotten around to it. Casey Folks from Best in The Desert provided some extra motivation with his recommendation. We turned to Cyrca for their new ATV Billet Pro Bends. We have seen some handguards made solely of plastic shields, and we knew we wanted something stronger - the all-billet construction of the Cycra guards looked to be just the ticket. Cyrca's new Probends for the ATV are the same design as their motorcycle Probends, but with billet clamps designed for the ATV. The patented Probend shape is designed to have space and clearance for cables and levers. The guards have beveled edges and have pre-drilled shield mounting holes. The Pro Bends are available for either standard handle bars or pro Taper handlebars. We chose the standard model for our Renthal bars.

It took a little longer than we expected to install the Cycra Pro Bends, as there isn't really any instructions included. But with a little trial and error we soon figured out how to get them mounted up. We had to trim our grips on both sides and cut the inside of the twist throttle for mounting the Pro Bends. We like the protection the Cycra guards provide. We think this is a good investment for $99.95, if you spend any time riding in the woods or the desert with foliage overhanging the trail.
