ATV enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore trails on more than 20,000 acres located along the Canadian River. Among these trails, riders will have rock climbing, sand drags, river bottoms, creeks and beautiful scenery to enjoy. The trails seem endless and weave in and out of the huge river made canyon. There is a large RR bridge you can ride by North up the river. River is down during the early and late seasons. Did I mention there is no fee, and you can camp anywhere you want. The shaddy locations are about 1-2 miles south of the bridge (enterance), this place is called the Meadows. Do not ride past fensed in areas. This is Texas and we have the "Make my day neihbor law"! Helmets are required and at times, Park Rangers check on people. NUMBER ONE RULE: Be respectful of everyone and their property! We won't mess with you stuff, you keep it the same. SECOND: Pick up your trash, it's free to ride because respectful people come out here. Please help contribute to this. To get to this riding location, follow I-27 East from Amarillo, TX and travel about 30 minutes until the Canadian River Bridge. Turn East at the bridge, the ORV area begins here and travels east and west. You cant miss it. For more information, visit www.txmud.com. Make sure you bring plenty of water and plenty of gas.
