Suzuki engineers built the King Quad to handle the toughest of tasks with a durable 280cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine, shaft drive, 3-speed sub-transmission and a locking front differential. New for 2002, the King Quad now features dual hydraulic front disc brakes for improved stopping power and reliable braking peformance as well as a new in-gear starting system for quick and easy starts regardless of the transmission settings. Power is kept to the ground with an adjustable A-arm front suspension, a unique diagonal swingarm independent rear suspension, and preload adjustable shock absorbers at both ends of the machine.

Rugged-style bodywork with large high-mounted fenders and wide overfender extensions are used for maximum splash protection with twin-mounted headlights to light the way when the sun goes down. The King Quad also features winch-ready front bumper, large front and rear tires for better cushioning, 8.3 inches of ground clearance, and high mounted snorkel-type air intake system making the King Quad one of the most versatile ATV's in the industry.
